OUR APPROACH
Understand the tools.
Own the decision.

Maple Poker combines reference-based preflop practice, a Texas Hold’em equity calculator and a personal hand journal. Each tool answers a different question.
Preflop practice
Questions are shuffled across the included situations. A boundary-hand filter removes many obvious decisions. The resulting question distribution is designed for practice; it is not a simulation of how often hands occur in a real game.
Any action with a positive reference frequency counts as correct. Frequencies appear after your answer. A streak measures consecutive accepted answers, not EV, profit or verified playing strength.
| Detail | What is known |
|---|---|
| Game | Preflop Texas Hold’em; an ante game is assumed. |
| Ante amount | Unspecified in the reference pack. |
| Open / 3-bet sizes | Unspecified in the reference pack. |
| Stacks | Reference effective depth. Seat values illustrate starting stacks. |
| Rake, ICM and EV | Not established by the reference pack. |
The table uses conventional 0.5 BB / 1 BB blind markers. It does not reconstruct exact remaining stacks or a pot from unknown raise and ante amounts. This is a practice model, not a live solver or a fully specified GTO solution.
Equity calculation
Equity is your expected share of the pot across the possible remaining cards. A tie contributes one divided by the number of tied winners.
When every player has two known cards, the calculator enumerates every possible remaining board. With random hands or ranges, it samples valid combinations. Sampled results can vary; increasing the sample count reduces sampling error.
Ranges are uniform over valid card combinations, not over hand-class cells. A pair has six combinations, a suited hand four and an offsuit hand twelve before known cards are removed. Weighted ranges, rake, ICM and side-pot equity are not included.
Your saved hands
The journal records actions in BB and permits an unfinished hand to be saved. Replays follow recorded actions, not inferred opponent decisions. Private records currently stay in this browser. Sharing creates a separate snapshot with private notes, names and opponent hole cards removed.
